Wolverine - Gulo gulo
The Wolverine is a stocky and muscular animal, considered carnivorous but known on occasion to eat plant material. It has glossy brown hair with stripes of yellow along the sides. The fur is long and dense and does not retain much water, making it very resistant to frost in the wolverine's cold habitat (this has led to some popularity amongst hunters and trappers for its use as a lining in jackets and parkas). The adult Wolverine is about the size of a medium dog, with a length in the usual range of 65-87 cm (25-34 inches), a tail of 17-26 cm (7-10 inches), and weight of 10-20 kg (22-45 lb). Males of the species are as much as 30 percent larger than the females. In appearance the Wolverine resembles a small bear with a long tail. It has been known to give off a very strong, extremely unpleasant odor, giving rise to the nicknames "skunk bear" and "nasty cat."

Human - Homo sapiens
Humans (known taxonomically as Homo sapiens, Latin for "wise man" or "knowing man") are the only living species in the Homo genus. Anatomically modern humans originated in Africa about 200,000 years ago, reaching full behavioral modernity around 50,000 years ago. Humans have a highly developed brain and are capable of abstract reasoning, language, introspection, and problem solving. This mental capability, combined with an erect body carriage that frees the hands for manipulating objects, has allowed humans to make far greater use of tools than any other living species on Earth. Human body types vary substantially. Although body size is largely determined by genes, it is also significantly influenced by environmental factors such as diet and exercise. The average height of an adult human is about 1.5 to 1.8 m (5 to 6 feet) tall, although this varies significantly from place to place and depending on ethnic origin. The average mass of an adult human is 54–64 kg (120–140 lbs) for females and 76–83 kg (168–183 lbs) for males. Weight can also vary greatly (e.g. obesity). Unlike most other primates, humans are capable of fully bipedal locomotion, thus leaving their arms available for manipulating objects using their hands, aided especially by opposable thumbs.

I'm kind of split on this one.
The human could possibly outlast the mustelid and gradually tire it out unless he can beat the devil out of it with minimal resistance, but here's the thing.
The wolverine can do a lot more damage a lot faster than the human can.
It will take many fewer attacks from a wolverine to kill a human than for a human to kill the wolverine.
If the human plays smart, it should, in theory, be able to take this.
However, I'm unsure of how this would play out in a straight brawl in the event that it comes to that.

How likely are the chances of a none peak human to choke out a Wolverine?

Also, Carnivora got a Discord?

I think the loose skin of the mustelid would prevent the human from effectively restraining it.
And yes, people have asked me like 2 times to get on but back then u didn't use discord ;-;.

Maybe if you took a Redditor as an example for a human in this match-up, the grease from his neckbeard could fall onto the wolverine's eyes and blind it?

they are very low to the ground. perfect range for downward stomps and a barrage of viscous kicks. Though one must always stay upright, incase it decides to leap for the head or throat

I think the loose skin on the beast would be exactly what would allow the person to restrain it.

I assume that in these fights between humans and animals, the human is naked, otherwise you introduce an artificial element. Obviously clothes would offer an amount of protection and heavy boots would be an effective weapon against a much smaller animal. But throw away these advantages, and leave the human naked with his 'precious parts' dangling and exposed... (I'm assuming a fight between two males, since they are the stronger and bigger of each species). How do you think that would affect the fight?

Doubt it would make a difference on the outcome, as the human should be able to take the pain if he’s trained to kill this animal, honestly I don’t see the wolverine winning.

I’d favor a trained woman over a wolverine honestly

The bite force of a wolverine is actually not that overwhelming at 348.5 N:

SOURCE

Which is not much more than a coyote (289.6 N). But I believe what makes the wolverine bite so dangerous is its pull force, on account of the wolverine's strong neck and stocky body, which they put to maximum effect to tear away flesh once their massive teeth have dug in.

That's why they're able to pull large carcasses through the snow and rip apart and eat animals so quickly:

So they're very dangerous, but given the size advantage humans have, and the other factors I mentioned in the earliest post, I think the only situation where they'd try to hunt down a human is when the human is injured, and that a healthy adult male human would almost always be able to kill a healthy adult male wolverine in a fight to the death.

Seeing how I favor a Human over a dog or cat that weighs less than 50 pounds, I say the same for this wolverine though it probably kill me if it ambushed me from a tree haha. Wolverines are fierce mini tanks of the mammalian world, but a calm human on a face to face fight can choke one out more times than not imo. Of coirse the Human would get nasty wounds but this is a 45 pound mustlid, not a 150 pound dog or cat. It can easily be grabbed by the leg and swung or hot against hard objects like a rag doll.

There is none (well I hope not). The only thing I have heard about discord is that members like Carnoferox use it to chat to underage boys in private online chatrooms (thank you Ferremous for that) . In some countries he would be on a register for that kind of activity. And the other is members like Carnoferox use it to insult and cyberbully others he doesnt have the guts to do so "face to face". I'd like to thank his colleagues from discord for alerting me to this.
We dont need discord for Carnivora, we post on a public forum.

Regarding the matchup, I’d safely bet on a human beating a wolverine, given the height and size advantage of the human. As long as the human doesn’t allow it to grip its neck (which I’d assume is both naturally what it does and thinks about doing) the human should take this, regardless of the Wolverine reputation. You’d probably need stitches, however.

At the risk of sounding impudent, I would like to contradict/clarify some things you have said.

No, you actually sound ignorant now. I have seen the evidence with my own two eyes. Carnoferox (not the only offender, but by far the worst) insulting Carnivora members behind their backs in private online chat rooms will not be tolerated. As for him talking to underage kids in private chatrooms, that is something that he needs to consider.

To sum up, this forum will not associate itself with that kind of behaviour.
