I've recently become more interested in dinosaurs (specifically carcharadontosaurus) so I was wondering if you guys know any good books or documentaries on dinosaurs.

Damn, it will arrive later than I thought. It will arrive in May and vacation is already over. Whatever, I may find enough time for this long book some time later. |

There is a channel on YouTube called dinosaur(s) world and they upload dinosaur documentaries, accurate or not it's worth a look. As for books I don't know any past the big book of dinosaurs genre. The problem is that most of what we know about dinosaurs is theory and speculation, it's difficult to find anything that's accurate. |

Pterosaurs: Natural History, Evolution, Anatomy by Mark Witton. Great illustrations. It gives a good impression of how diverse the pterosaurs were. And yes I am aware that pterosaurs are not dinosaurs. |

You should read "Dinosaur Odyssey, fossil threads in the web of life" by Scott D. Sampson. its older (2009) and more of a general info book but a great read. Its forwarded by Philip J. Currie. |

On books: I want to sell a bunch of books first. In a manic episode I bought too many Osprey military books... |

I have "Dinosaurs: The most complete, up-to-date encyclopedia..." Some very nice illustrations, and the information seems accurate and up-to-date (as per the title suggests). The only problem I have with the book is it's sort of geared towards a younger audience. If you are looking for a nice dino novel, go with "Raptor Red" by probably the best paleontologist out there - Robert Bakker. Documentaries - my favorite one is the 2011 "Planet Dinosaur" which features a lot of Carcharodontosaurus. It's a shame, however, that the information presented in the first episode in regards to Spinosaurus is now obsolete. Still a great series. |

I have the paleoart of Julius Csotonyi. It is beautiful. If I ever get children, this would be perfect book for their private library. I do want a book with more information. Books I came across on the net were: - Dinosaurs: The Most Complete, Up-to-Date Encyclopedia for Dinosaur Lovers of All Ages - Feathered Dinosaurs: The Origin of Birds - Dinosaurs: A Concise Natural History - The Complete Book of Dinosaurs: The ultimate reference to 355 dinosaurs from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, including more than 900 illustrations, maps, timelines and photographs The first one seemed more geared towards a younger audience. Reviews on the second book say it is mostly pictures. So I think I will buy the other two. |

Dinosaur revolutions a good doc. Not flawless, but the dinosaurs arnt your typical grey expressionless monsters in most Dino docs. |

"Dinosaurs: The Most Complete, Up-to-Date Encyclopedia for Dinosaur Lovers of All Ages" Only, it's not for all ages. Unless you are 8, do not get this book. I regret buying it. |
