Hm.
The only reason "landowners" like Jett Ferebee don't want coyotes and coy-redwolves is because they're too lazy to actually "hunt" the deer, all they want is near canned hunting, where they don't have to hike long distances to find deer.

Here:
http://www.league.org.uk/~/media/Files/LACS/Reference-material/League-Against-Cruel-Sports-2004-The-Myth-of-Trophy-Hunting-as-Conservation.pdf
are all the negative effects of trophy hunting, they make less money than viewers and destroy the animals, when more viewers give more money and don't destroy, almost all the money goes to already rich private people, not conservation.

I think sustainable hunting is okay, but it is not always sustainable. Hence hm.

If a population is large, such as the geese here, it is okay to hunt them. And eating this type of meat is something good.

The acceptable animals to hunt in my opinion are abundant and widespread lagomorphs, rodents, kangaroos, ungulates, except for cetaceans, birds except for birds of prey, bony fish, and invertebrates, and it must be sustainable, except for deadly disease carrying animals such as Anopheles, and Tsetse flies, which should be eradicated, though it's not usually considered hunting.

I do think that hunting rarely contributes to conservation though. I find it difficult to construct my view on hunting. I do not want to be anti-hunting and am not pro-hunting.

I agree.

But the population control argument can be manipulated into recreational hunting.

I suppose it wouldn't matter. If it is a truly invasive pest species (like rabbits and foxes in Australia) then recreational or non recreational, what matters is something is being done to reduce their numbers.

We have a ridiculous law here with regards to population control for the Eastern Grey kangaroo. Yes, their numbers are currently unsustainable to the point where it threatens other natives species. But the law basically says when you shoot them you have to leave them on the ground to rot. Perhaps this is to ensure that the only reason they are shot is to control their numbers but still, all that good meat gone to waste!

Killing endangered/threatened or newly discovered species (conservation status not known) for dead specimen collection is unacceptable, if you want organs that require killing or injuring from endangered/threatened species or newly discovered species for scientific reasons, try to find already dead specimen, most likely it's not needed anyways due to advanced technology, here's an article on this:

I'd hunt in a heartbeat if I wasn't in the worst area for it. The meat is godly.

That said, I'd probably rather just have a friend who hunts who could hook me up with the meat. Hunting isn't super my thing, but I'd do it for the food.

I kind of wish there was some sort of system where trophy hunting was illegal and especially impressive animals were protected. The way things are now all the outstanding specimens get killed off.

What I mean with the issue of population control is that people will quickly say the numbers of crows, foxes, wolves and the-like are "out of control".

A statement for which sufficient evidence would need to be provided.

This is unacceptable, he should be prosecuted for homicide if it's not a hoax:
