Come on kingkazma. It is illegal to kill them, they are a protected group of birds, and the bald eagle is the symbol of the United States and other eagle species are symbols for other countries as well.
"Legal", "illegal", "protected", and "are symbols" aren't good reasons, human massacres and forced labour used to be legal in a few places, and deer are symbols for some countries.
But of course I am against hunting birds of prey, just saying these things are not good reasons.

Why would some conservation groups support hunting of (critically in this case) endangered species, the money hunters pay is irrelevant, since if they really want to conserve, not just to take the "trophy", they will donate money without killing, which means most trophy hunters don't care about conservation, just the hunting.
