In Kyrgyzstan five wolfs tried to kill snow leopard, before they kill snow leopard, snow leopard killed three of them, two other wolfs ate this snow leopard. This story I read in the book of Evgeniy Koshkarev - Snow leopard in Kyrgyzstan! If you do not believe read it http://www.snowleopardnetwork.org/bibliography/Koshkarev_1989.pdf
Koshkarev is one of the best snow leopard researchers in former USSR.
Snow leopard prey species in Mongolian Tost mountains http://snowleopardnetwork.org/bibliography/Johansson_et_al_2015.pdf
Snow leopard even kills adult males of horse and adult males of camels)) It is mean that snow leopard is very powerful cat!

The size of the snow leopard is unknown and sane goes for the wolves. Besides I'm beginning to doubt the credibility of these accounts after that garbage about snow leopards killing adult bull camels singlehandedly. as if I'm gonna believe a 50 kg cat can kill a 400+ kg camel

nothing but garbage and fairy tales.

it said predators though. not wolves. and ages, sex, number, etc. are not specified... a better translation would be nice.

in order for an ambush to succeed you must be able to restrain your prey long enough to kill it. I can't help but laugh at the mere idea of a 50 kg cat trying to restrain a 400+ kg camel. I don't even believe a sl would try it, they aren't that stupid.

If it claims a cat of that size can kill a camel then yes. most members here aren't sure a Siberian tiger can kill a bull moose and you want me to believe that a sl can kill a camel?

It is scientist research http://snowleopardnetwork.org/bibliography/Johansson_et_al_2015.pdf
You should read it . Many people like say it is garbage but nothing can research by own. Yes it is unbelievable)) But that is the facts)) Can you give a resarch with counter-evidence?
Another research for you, where you can see that snow leopards kill more yaks and horses than tigers and leopards in Bhutan

A yak? Perhaps a sick or injured individual but not a healthy bull. A camel? That's ridiculous.

That snow leopard network is incredibly stupid, not just for overeating the sl, but because they're causing more damage than good, they're basically depicting snow leopards as dangerous harmful animals that need to be hunted and controlled.
