not a real good example, better post this on threads about pitbulls. ( i deleted the picture link...keep the reply light) A good example is, when one of this guys drag a 100kg weight above a tree. To be fair, give them tree climbing spikes. Edited by kuri, Nov 26 2016, 07:34 PM.

KingPanthera, I am confused, do you actually have evidence that leopards are more muscular than tigers? or do you mean at parity? where a tiger is either a really young or suffers from anorexia? Do you see tigers like this? ![]() ![]() ![]() or like this?: ![]() ![]()

It is already scientifically proved that Lions are,kg for kg, the most muscular big cats, and the Jaguar are the most robust. There is nothing to really debate here. |

you can not compare a light animal with a much heavier ..BIGGER animal. It is math. The surface is the length to the second power. The volume is the length to the third power. So it is much easier for a smaller animal to be more athletic, faster, stronger (proportional) The same reason, why the "best" bodybuilder are mostly small guys. A much taller bodybuilder needs much much more muscle mass (and more roids than a shorter bodybuilder.A more than 2m tall guy (like Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson) needs a weight of over 180kg to have the same proportion as a bodybuilder with ~1.75m and 110-115kg weight. (yes he isn't a bodybuilder...but..) I bet, a tiger with the same body size as a leopard, would have a very similar body and athleticism. |

nice mind kuri but the leopard has a diffrent body... let's say 120 kg sumatran tiger and the 120 kg persian leopard at the zoo? the leopard was longer and had much more muscular shoulders and neck and a bigger head the tiger was thicker like the jaguar! both are amazing and strong panthers... but i don't favor the leopard for nothing ![]() But overall there is no perfect cat they all have their own special power that cancel out other cat powers I just can't picture a cat getting killed by a mad hyena Also, I think that most panther Vs panther fights will end up all the ways a win a loose and a draw Edited by LeopardNimr, Nov 27 2016, 01:55 AM.

KingPanthera, last I checked, lions happen to be faster than a leopard over short distances; I think Taipan or someone posted about that. |

No, you said the tiger is around the same strenght of a puma at normal weights, not at parity, which is insane:
You really like saying things with anything/stupid claims to support what you said.
It's not a "small ass leopard". It's simply that leopards are much smaller than tigers, something I can't understand how you are unable to realise. By the way, that was a tigress in the video.
Give me the source on that. It seems like you simply ignored all my accounts and the explanations that leopards get completely destroyed by tigers on the wild.
What a reliable source. A source that says tigresses are stronger than tigers based on them intimidating tigers to protect their cubs. It seems like they fail to realise animals in the wild get "intimidated" because risking an injury to fight a tigress is simply stupid. If we use intimidation as a proof, then domestic cats are stronger than alligators.Nile monitors are stronger than 8 lions. And honey badgers are stronger than lions. The site also claims that leopards are stronger than giant elands, which is simply sad and not truth, and fights where leopards killed tigers with no links/a history from 1924 called "Hari the jungle lad:The Adventure of Tiger and the leopards", which we can't even read and see the conditions of the tiger. One claim that a leopard killed a tiger at that site even says ( ) " One of my very best performers is a leopard that has killed a cheetah, two boarhounds, a tiger and a polar bear"Jeez HAHA. But there's also an account of a 9 year old male leopard killing a subadult tigress, in which the leopard died shortly after. That's pretty different from:
No.
You claimed that leopard was 110 KG at another topic: From here: http://carnivoraforum.com/topic/30035070/1/#post10011247 Did it go on a diet or something? Anyways, maybe you could give pics of that leopard. Let's see if it even exists, and if it's not fat. Or atleast give the zoo's name.
We don't hate them, it's just that the things you are saying here are insane and absurd.
I don't get what you mean on most athletic, and how "most athletic" would be relevant on a fight, if you mean "most muscular", show us a proof about the leopard being the most muscular, lions have been already proved to be the most muscular.
Yet no proofs. |

A pug or a terrier no, a 180 KG tiger yes. Stop doing childish affirmations and make it like we hate leopards, just because you are a leopard fanboy and can't accept leopards won't beat much larger animals.
This is childish. And I can't tell that this leopard is overweight or not yet, but that definitely doesn't look like a 110 KG animal. What's it's weight, you contradicted yourself and from that pic I doubt it is a 110 KG leopard.
Your sarcasm is laughable, since it comes from a guy who thinks a leopard is able to kill a bull eland and carry a 1 ton animal while climbing a tree. Just fixing this quote:
I confused it with this study: ![]() That Taipan posted here: http://carnivoraforum.com/topic/9567325/1/ But that doesn't change he has absolutely no proofs that the leopard is the most muscular cat. Edited by SETA222, Nov 27 2016, 10:09 PM.

This "parity" stuff is kind of silly...trying to compare a 500 pound cat to a 150 pound cat. |

Ohhh the leopard hater himself. Leopards CAN weigh up to 300 pounds on total A leopard in our city zoo is 120 kg and he is not fat. Not all tigers are 200 kg. Sprcific bengals avrege like that. A leopard will knock a tiger attack and will be able to make a draw with a male tiger. Thats it. I love tigers. A really impressive cat. But a leopard killing and lifting up a tree a bull eland Is Freakin Awesome Non of your doggies or cat like ugly dogs will be able to do this. |
