Fishers have been observed to feed on the carcasses of deer left by hunters.[18] While uncommon, fishers have been found to kill larger animals such as wild turkey, bobcat and lynx. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fisher_(animal) |

It is quite possible. I trust amateur video. 70-80% video animals fights staged. Crocodiles kill jaguar. Anaconda kill jaguar. Lion kill tiger. ..........

Nice find, if the cat mistook that fisher for prey it will get a nasty surprise though. |

I remember back @ the old carnivore forum, Gato Gordo didn't believe fishers preyed on foxes. I don't doubt any predator that would prey on other similar sized(and sometimes larger) predators would pass on a domestic cat... Not to say that a house cat can't defend itself from a fisher...at times. But, fishers are credited with preying on other mustelids like otters & skunks, & have been documented killing lynx & bobcats(of questionable age) & raccoons as well. A house cat would seem to be on par with a predator that can also become fisher prey. Also-the killing of a porcupine is much more inherently dangerous than attempting to predate a house cat or fox-to put things in perspective. Edited by Shin, Sep 4 2014, 11:40 AM.
