When I saw the name of the thread I hoped for a moment that it would be a scholarly comparison between the two.

Well, I wasn't entirely disappointed I suppose - the video does show that that the caracal and the bobcat are very similar in size.

I've seen this with a Several and Caracal, a Canadian Lynx and Bobcat, also an Ocelot and Caracal.
