just goes to show you haw animals of completely opposite adaptions can accomplish transactions that their morphology doesn't suit. it makes it more fun to think about the possibilities of extinct animals can accomplish. |

That is interesting. Here in the Netherlands we have crayfish from Texas. In Texas they dig holes to survive droughts, here they dig holes to survive the winter. The urban jungle is equally interesting as a place for adaptations to work in novel ways. |
