Well, I'm sure SOME animal circuses are fine.

Anything with exotic animals probably isn't fine though, especially anything with elephants.

I agree circuses are pointless and often associated with cruelty.

The problem is that we've now got more exotic animals in private ownership that it would ever be feasible to re-home successfully, so if all circuses were to be banned we would have a surplus of animals and mass euthanasia would ensue.

It's a truly terrible predicament.

I'm saying that banning circuses and private collections will result in thousands of homeless animals that are incapable of returning to the wild so they will be euthanized, that's the extent of the problem.

A better option would be a massive spay and neuter programme for private animals.
