Most definitely in Eastern Europe. A little more of 200 brown bears, 200 wolves and not even 200 lynxes in Spain. |

The only brown bears that are left here live in Asturias, and very few in the Pyrenees |

To what regards wolves in my country, I'll put my two cents: First of all, I'm from Asturias, I live there and I have a property there near a mountain zone. Since it's a common pass for boars, wolves are there too. In the property I have several sheeps. Needless to say I don't want the wolf near of them. If they trespass it I'll get rid of them. And if the authorities ask, I'll say it was shooting the boar. The article talks about the principalty giving indemnizations to the cattlers, but what it doesn't say it's that they're not enough to cover loses. Not even close. Cattlers are very angry with this situation, wolves approach themselves too much to human settlements and this is an overly complicated situation with a very difficult solution. In Grado, Cornellana, Sobrerriba, Villazón, etc. They're everywhere. Altough it's not like in the 50's when they even chased people. Nobody wants them there. Ah! And if you have a dog inside, make sure it's not chained or tied. Otherwise wolves will kill and devour it. Edited by maestro tomberi, Dec 22 2014, 09:14 PM.
