Not a serious thread, I would like to know what big cat species/subspecies do you find the most scariest physically. (Not necessarily the tallest/biggest or stronger of their kind) Personnally, I find 3 subspecies of big cats really scary: Sri lankan leopard: ![]() Sumatran tiger: ![]() Asiatic lion: ![]() All of them share bad attitude, dark eyes, body usually full of scars and menacing look. All big felines can become scary, most scary though are undoubtedly lion and tiger.

All cats can do "killer face" expressions, even your pet moggy, when it gets wildy-bent.. Those lions with obviously "murderous intent" - really glowing in their eyes - can be a tad intimidating though.. |

IMO i think mountain lions are the least intimidating. Every time I've seen one my very first thought is "I forgot they were that small". |

Considering that smilodons had a 120 degree gape. It must have been terrifying to see them with their mouth's open all the way.

True they do look real adorably cuddly/furry.. ..but they can sound ( & be) pretty mean.. Edited by J.A.W., May 26 2015, 11:46 AM.

The correct answer is ALL of them. Christ, if I saw an angry ocelot coming at me I'd crap my pants. |

Really? An ocelot? If you kick it, it will run away. |

Or if you kick at it ( not advisable) it just might decide to claw its way up your legs & rip your scrotum open.. for fun.. |
