Looks like a pretty ordinary fox to me. And no, foxes and dholes cannot interbreed. In fact the dhole (Cuon) is more closely related to the wolf (Canis) than the black-backed jackal (also classified as Canis) is. Foxes (Vulpes et al) are the outgroup to this clade. Maybe it does have short legs, but the head and neck aren't ordinary, by any means. Stop it at 0:30. |
