Back to the original topic. A cat caught a barn owl. I can't say I'm not impressed, but it was bound to happen, as cats can and do regularly hunt and kill birds. Now, I would be impressed if it had killed a Great Horned or an eagle... |

What made you want to show a cat getting killed.....on this post in particular ......did you feel as the first post was showcasing to much of the felines amazing hunting prowess.....which obviously annoyed you that you had to make yourself feel better by showing someone's pet getting killed by 2 much larger predators. Do you feel better now that domestic cats even with all their amazing abilities do sometimes get killed by larger predators...?

Domestic cats are much less capable of holding their own against other predators. But feral/stray cats are more likely. It balances out, too. The prey occasionally will beat its usual predators. Had the owl been aware, it would probably not have been caught. But barnies aren't exactly the strongest owl, either. |

It really is by no means an impressive kill. Nothing to get hyped up about at all. Barn owls are tiny averaging about 1.2 lbs in the largest subspecies, with most weighing around 1 lb or less than that. A bird this size and build has no hopes against a cat, especially when attacked by stealth by being intercepted after landing as was the case here.

your posts are great.-perfectly fine with a cat killing wildlife -- "blame the humans, its not the cats fault" - gets upset when a video of a cat being killed by coyotes is posted. Cats are prey to large carnivores, just like how smaller animals(in some cases larger)are prey for cats, its a natural order, and unlike you're trying to insinuate, there was no agenda to Meso's post(use your head, why would he post this video and then try to " downplay" it?)If you don't like it, don't reply to the comment and show how asinine your actions are. |

No I am terrible, FelinePowah is right. It was my intention to discredit the cat and trigger people. Here's a better video closer to reality: |
