Dont know about this one, maybe Cape Buffalo? They are smaller than Gaurs but they can still pack a punch. Edit: Perhaps add a poll Edited by Mammuthus, Dec 18 2016, 11:21 PM.

If you're talking lbs for lbs I wouldn't put the guar, it's all lbs. There are quite a few cattle breeds I'd put ahead of the guar. Picking between bison and buffalo is tough, I think bison is more agile but buff is maybe just stronger. |

Cattle in general are likely to come off second best against both buffalo and bison in any kind of headbutting contest because the latter have thicker bosses and skulls. I don't think it's a domestic vs wild issue, they're just different families of bovine with different attributes. It would apply equally to wild cattle and the extinct aurochs. The guar on the other hand seems to have a more delicate head and neck than cattle, and with its big heavy body I don't see it being well equipped for headbutting contests at all. |

Hard to tell which is stronger between cape and wild water buffalo but i will say cape buffalo-seen them holding unto lions for quite some time and also for a more robust but proportionate built. Wild water buffalo would come at second i think they are very proportionate and well balanced and used as a tractor in SE Asia for ploughing fields and known for their power. gaur would not fare great i think cuz they are built differently, more for agility i would say. bison may fare better than gaur cuz they are stocky but not as comparable as buffaloes cuz their legs aren't very impressive. |
