Is there a land animal that's ever lived BESIDES DINOSAURS, that could take the highly agile, highly aggressive, extremely strong SPANISH BULL as prey? And I'm talking about a prime male.![]() ![]() |

Well you're about to be bombarded with people saying big cats will do it easily. I won't be one of them, but I think lions, tigers and jaguars COULD potentially prey on them but certainly shouldn't be favoured to succeed often on a healthy prime specimen, and the risk of actual death for the predator would be greater than on wild bovines. |

Fasolasuchus. It's the biggest terrestrial predator that we know of that wasn't a dinosaur. It was a rauisuchid, they basically looked like really big, tall straight legged crocodiles with skulls reminiscent of large theropods. This species is estimated from 8 to 10 meters. Also, maybe a really big, really pissed off male Southern short-faced bear? Edited by Wyvax, Jan 13 2017, 09:41 PM.

Good question...... in my opinion grey wolf in packs, spotted hyena in packs can kill spanish bull and tiger, lion one on one less chance but ambush more chance of winning.I do not think jaguar can actually even ambush spanish bull. |

Just so you know...Spanish Bulls are over 1000 pounds..and unlike buffalo...their extremely agile and "offensive" minded. Don't really see how a Jaguar poses slight of a threat.

Lion males and tigers prey on buffaloes and gaurs, and they are dangerous and bigger than spanish fighting bulls. Mackenzie valley wolves pack can take down bison - and bisons win against fighting bulls easily, as you can read here: https://southdakotamagazine.com/buffalo-vs-bull Jaguars, big bears and big crocodiles have a better chance to win than loose fighting them, even it will be mostly close fights. I'm betting that a determined Hyaenodon gigas could pull this off too. I mean they were a similar size and basically the real world equivalent of wargs. Those bull pics make me want steak really badly right now. Edited by Wyvax, Jan 13 2017, 09:51 PM.

I'm not sure it'd be able to actually eat it, but a bull would likely be pretty helpless against something like titanoboa. |

A lot of things could kill and eat a bull by attacking in ambush. Pack hunters could do it too. |

Singlehandedly I'd say Andrewsarchus or Daeodon fairly easily... |

Lions routinely take on Cape Buffaloes, which are every bit as unpredictable and dangerous, and tigers have been known to kill gaur, the largest bovine there is, even bigger than the fighting bull which is a breed of domestic cattle ... |

(extant animals) I think that lions and tigers could probably kill bulls by ambush in some occasions. Big adult nile crocs ambushing from water could also do it, also Polar bears and grizzlies. |

With a first glance, this is a pretty good question. |
