I think the easiest form of breeding could be with a young female wolf who was kicked out of the pack, with a big male dog from a big strong respectable breed like a Kangal, Caucasion Ovcharka, or Bully Kutta. I feel like the female has to know that the dog is more powerful then herself and submit. Sometimes young lonely female wolves need companionship and will get it from anywhere.

What do you all think...female wolf/male dog or female dog/male wolf would be easier to mate?

What a weird question, are you gonna write a fan fiction or something? Anyway its more likely that the young male members of a pack is kicked while most young females wolves stay in the same pack until they are unable to cooperate for health reasons, I think a gray wolf of either gender would rather kill and eat the dog than mate with him/her no matter what breed of dog it is.

If you just want to ask a question instead of creating a whole thread based on a this question then you should you asked in the ask a question and get a proper answer thread.

If you think a SINGLE GREY WOLF, really just wants to kill and eat a Kangal, Cauacasion Ovcharka or Bully Kutta then your wrong...newb.

How about giving your opinion on the question.

If you HONESTLY THINK that unless the options are severely limited, a SINGLE GREY WOLF would rather KILL AND EAT a dog RATHER THAN MATE with them...newb.

On a more serious note, do you even know and understand wolf behavior? If not, I suggest you read into it. It simply goes to show your ignorance, and you only hearing what you want to hear. So, please, become knowledgeable in these areas to spare the corrections anyone with actual and factual knowledge has to make to your posts.

Where are any of you guys getting your information from? A wolf doesn't care about breeds as long as it isn't a chihuahua or something.
You'd probably have as good a shot with a backyard bred goldendoodle as you would a kangal or whatever

Wolves and dogs are the same species and don't distinguish between one another based on "wolf" vs "dog". It's more friend vs foe. Wolves will kill and eat a stranger wolf just as quickly as they will a dog, but circumstances arise when stranger wolves make friends with one another, make new packs, breed etc. It could just as easily be a dog in those circumstances.

Dogs on the other hand don't like wild animals, whether it's a wolf or a feral dog they won't treat it in the same way as a tame captive owned wolf or dog. Could be fear or aggression but it won't be the standard social rituals.

However if a female wolf or female dog is on heat, all bets are off, that makes male dogs and wolves very friendly and focussed on (or obsessed with) one thing.

I still see the majority of gray wolves prefering to kill dogs rather than breed with them if the grey wolf is born in the wild, I had heard of male coyotes breeding with larger female grey wolves so I do not understand why the dog necessarily needs to be a large breed.

I think the male dog needs to be more powerful and respected by the wolf..I could be wrong

I think a lonely female wolf in heat would be more open to mating with a strong powerful male dog like a Kangal then it would a Pug. I think the wolf would see the Kangal as another "type" of wolf and see a Pug as something to kill.
