I'm not too surprised by this. IIRC, there were incidents where poachers broke into museums and took rhinoceros horns from display. Now they've gone a step further and it seems that not even rhinos in captivity are safe. Needless to say, this is quite disconcerting. Edited by Ausar, Mar 8 2017, 07:39 AM.

Poachers are people of the dangerously obsessed kind. |

I say we gather all the poachers and Chinese Business Owners of this bullfaeces medicine around the world, strip them naked, dump them into the African Savannah and start hunting them. Then they'll feel what it is like. Poacher hunting would be a type of hunting I'd support and hobby I'd also enjoy. |

The death was quick ( a few shots in the head), unlike the hippo recently killed in an El Salvadorian zoo. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2017/02/28/hippo-whodunit-beloved-zoo-animal-dies-after-beating-in-el-salvador-zoo/?utm_term=.9ff9e7327516 both are outrageous. It makes me almost equally angry at the zoo for their poor security. The animals safety and well being is their responsibility. I'd support fining zoos when cases like this happen. |

This is ridiculous. And it makes me wonder what the Paris Zoo's security is like, though the horn is worth a LOT so I could see people risking it. |
