Molosser and bull breeds as well as mongrels. Love all living and extinct dogs Favourite cats are cougars and snow leopards. I also like bears Love theraphosids and many mygalomorph spiders Amphicyonids and many large extinct cats are quite cool as well. I have no interest in terror birds, or any birds, frogs and some other animals don't interest me. Just on rats, the ones at the uni I go to are pricks lol. |

My number one all time favorite animal is none other than the incredible African Wild Dog, why? Because I admire with their amazing use of teamwork and the extraordinary that they achieve as a pack Some other animals that are on my list for favorites are...... Lions (I went thro this one phase before I joined Carnivora when I was obsessed with them and their feats) Philippine Eagles (truly the most phenomenal thing to ever take flight) Dholes (for their uncanny similarity to AWD's) Nile Crocodiles/ Saltwater Crocodiles (Both are so powerful yet fascinating) Giant Water Bugs (they just plain amaze me, they seem to be the only arthropods that regularly prey on vertebrates) |

What can I say? I like many if not all of those listed by others. Wild dogs are creatures I've become increasingly fascinated by in the past few years -- as I understand it many who work for their preservation prefer to call them painted dogs. I like that name. I've drawn them a few times (but not enough!). Personally, eagles, falcons are and have always been high on my list. In smaller realms I like the preying mantids. Jumping spiders have become a special fascination for me. Assassin bugs. Water striders (also insect predators). Sabertooth cats; short-faced bears. Orcas. |

Honestly I don't see the need to call wild dogs "painted dogs" the negative connotation of the word "wild" has really dissolved over the years they're looked in a new light now. Also the word "painted" in it's name can spawn great confusion with those unfamiliar with the species, some might think it's simply a special or rare breed of domestic dog but when you add "wild" people seem to get the understanding that these animals have never been domesticated and are a totally different animal from your typical dog. |

Hyenas doomed to live in the shadow for ever of the most overatted creature that has ever walked this planet alias that hairy kitty in realllity they are the ones that are often robbed of their kills their behaviour and social live is also FAR MORE complex and interesting Buffalo the only herbivor that not only often gets the better of Lions they will even directly seek them out for a challenge Parrots - Ravens and other birds alike their intelligence and behavior puts mammals to shame they will even activily seek them out for a challenge Cichlids and many other fishes for creaturs such low their intelligence and behavior is pretty high and they often far more interesting to watch then mammals |
