I love animals in general but my top ten are:
1. The Grey Wolf-my favorite sub-species being the Mexican.
2. Polar Bear-I love how the biggest land carnivore at the present hunts in a barren wasteland.
3. African Wild dog-Despite looking comical, these guys earned my respect as bad ass group hunters in a land filled with lions, hyenas, leopards, crocs, hippos, and God knows what else.
4. Dholes-same reasons like the AWD
5. Black panthers-particularly jaguars over leopards but both are pretty rad.
6. Domestic animals- Of course, my favorite being domestic dogs.
7. Tigers-My favorite subspecies being the Bengal, it has a almost perfect combination of speed and large size
8.Hyenas-savage and brutal, even in their own groups. That's what makes them so hard to kill.
9. Orcas-wolves of the sea and can eat great white sharks. Enough said.
10. Mongooses-they are the definition of mammalian agility, watching them dodge cobra strikes is amazing.

Honourable mentions- meerkats, wolverines, lynx, snowy owls, harpy eagles, grizzly bears, gorillas, stouts, shrews, coyote, and homo sapiens.

And my top 10 extinct animals are:
1. Dire Wolf-a bigger, stronger grey wolf?? Awesome.
2. Utahraptor-a large predator but agile as ever. Like a bengal tiger.
3. Short-faced Bear-A bear of legendary size.
4. Wooly Mammoth-must of been an awesome sight seeing our ancestors hunt these beasts.
5. T.Rex-over rated, but he was my childhood hero.
6. Allasours-t.rex, but with ARMS.
7. Bear dogs-qualities of both dogs and bears in one package, I'm surprised they went extinct.
8. Megalodon-a whale killer, the ultimate shark.
9. Spinosaurus-im aware of the recent transformation it went through, so no im not liking it just beacuse of jurassic park 3. I like it beacuse it was such a curious theropod that went through so many changes.
10. Homids-there were so many of them, each with their own unique qualities. It's a shame they didn't make it to modern times.
