It was being prodded with a stick, so its hardly going to make a zoo breed wolf think its lifes in danger. |

That wolf was clearly uncomfortable, it has no reason to hold back when defending itself. A zoo animals fight or flight instincts are the same as a wild animals. It shouldn't be given the benefit of doubt. |

amphicyon i am shocked you should know this that a dog that is in danger or being defensive will give weak weak quick fast bites while a dog in predatory mode will or in drive will give hard crazy bites because it doesnt intend to let go Defensive bites the dog is going ot let go its giving u a quick warning before you guys fight I learn all this training dogs in personal protection you will know there is a HUGE HUGE diff between a scared or defensive dog and a confidant dog just biting in prey you above all people should have known these tthese guys specially feline power isnt even a dog person these so called weak bites are just not the extremly painful bites that they do in protection but they still are very very painful and can cause enough damage to kill a person just not nearly as powerful as they are capable of cause they dont intend to stay on they are warning bites In protection we dont want our dog to give a defensive bite with the end product we want our dog to be in fight drive to give a fighting bite when the dog is in a mix of defensive and prey drive then the bites stay very strong dangerous and hard grips and the dog stays on the man and continues to fight them. That wolf was just giving a warning snap/bite/grip or whatever it was not planning on staying in and fighting. Nor did that wolf feel seriously threatend. He wasj ust saying fuck off. To get a wolves grip we need it in prey mode attacking something. Edited by Ophiophagy, Jul 28 2012, 08:44 AM.

Bald eagles out rank otters usually the eagle is diving way to fast for it to notice that quick, the eagle usually gets its way. Bald eagles pull this same crap on bears and get away with it all the time. Only they hit the bears pretty hard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hV3ajQRniNg&feature=related it can blind a grizzley bear doing this Edited by Ophiophagy, Jul 28 2012, 08:34 AM.

It's a wolf, not a dog. It's not turning on an authority figure or defending its master. It's defending it's life. It has no need to hold back. Even if it did, it's exactly the sort of bite it would use to defend itself from a large and forwardly aggressive dog. It is a decent estimation for its biting power in a fight situation. |
