Somehow this picture is friggin' hilarious.
I'm wondering if that is incidental... if that the pelican
just got caught b/c it was among a school of fish
while the whale was also feeding...

did the whale ingest it or spit it out?
Yeah, was incidental and the whale spit it out unharmed.

Some time ago i thought that lvgd were superior to all european wolves....

Now i just think the oposite... Guard dogs arent capable to do anything against fullgrown experienced wolves...

I actually think those are some pretty cool finds!

I love that gif, dinocat.

---

But I'm noticing quite a lot of pictures of predation are being posted here. Some of them are admittedly cool pictures, but I think it's best to post pictures/videos/accounts of predator/prey situations or relationships on here:

http://carnivoraforum.com/topic/9945308/10/#new

I guess pictures of an animal killing one another or more could be posted here as long as there was some history of conflict in them.... but I could be wrong about this all, after all, I'm not the creator of this thread...

Sorry, I don't know the exact species involved. This site is the original source of the clip, but I don't understand the language. Maybe someone can translate?

Edit: The few words in English on the site are Long-legged Buzzard (Buteo rufinus), so I assume that is the nesting family. There are a number of owl species in Israel. It seems pretty large, so maybe a Eurasian Eagle Owl? It happens so quickly, I can't even make out whether it has any ear tufts.
