Giant Weta species of some sort biting back at a much larger Tuatara. Unsure if the Tuatara gave up on the meal after that bite. But considering part of the back of the Weta busted open (can be seen below) the Weta is dead regardless.

We can see here how so similar to humans, domestic dogs are ....

Since we lost "natural selection" we became so stupids...

I really feel like some of these posts should belong here:

http://carnivoraforum.com/topic/9945308/14/#new

Many pictures here are simply predator-prey.

Anyway, here's a pretty interesting (actually very amusing as well) video I found recently of a kiwi fighting a brushtail possum:

https://youtu.be/eHNAeyw_av0

The kiwi doesn't actually injure the possum too much, but it does prove that they aren't helpless animals.

Interestingly enough, I also found out recently that kiwis can actually be quite aggressive and are known to fight to the death.

Weta are really nice. Wish them a long evolutionary period in time.

I've seen my own chickens do this as well. They even killed one of my peasant chicks when it got too close. They are afraid of rats however. My pheasant would use its claw to harm the nestlings of rats I had to take out of the den.

I got something for you Carnivorans as well. Maybe not particular special, but enjoy anyway:
