A second Cape leopard (Panthera pardus) M 18, was caught and was collared with a highly sophisticated Iridium satellite collar for research purposes at Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat in the Cederberg. The large male was over 57kg and is the heaviest male by far recorded in the area by Dr Quinton Martins and his team from The Cape Leopard Trust (CLT) and CapeNature.

What is with the male leopard that is hand feeded? Injured, poisoned, sick?
Anyway, that particular male is huge. As big as any territorial male from Kruger. If not bigger.

The photos are deceiving people
Leopard standing makes it look huge.
photos of these animals are taken from the bottom up which gives the impression of them being huge.

after 10 yeats following leopards and data on them i've to say only one thing a 70 kilograms male appears huge close any man fat...tall..in any kind of pic
why? data.
any time you see a serious field researcher speaking on a leopard more or less 70 kilos call the leopard huge enormous or even colossal like Guy Balme on tyson male leopatd at Phinda that was weigghed with empty belly in at 71 kilograms.
so a 70 kilos male have a head larger than that of man shoulders and forearms bigger and appear like a beast in any pic even the most deceptive.
anyway the most sure parameter to judge the size of a leopard is the head according with most serious experts

Again a monster Menzi the head is covered but is worth of biggest huntingtrophy pics
This male is with tristan Dickerson on the left and is enterthe line of 75 kilos.
Any rager will tell you 85 kilos, but a serious and famous field researcher that weighe him 70_75 kilos
