![]() Impressive Brown Bear here, I don't know the weight of it and can't deem it overweight, as typical in zoos, but this specimen has impressive limbs and body, I'd favour it over even Ursus Maritimus in cases. ![]() And this one is just plain adorable. You got a grey Brown Bear cub biting a Rottweilers ear. |

Damage done by a Grizzly to a farmers corral. NOTE: The bear in the photo is dead, it was shot because it posed a risk to human safety and it was then placed beside the ruined the corral for the photo:

"Photographer Lassi Rautiainen recently captured the profound partnership between a she-wolf and a brown bear in the wilds of northern Finland. For days, he witnessed the strange pair meet every evening to share food after a hard day of hunting. No one knows when or how this relationship was formed, “but it is certain that by now each of them needs the other.”

A very touching photo from Katmai, a mother bear places herself between her two cubs and a larger, hungry male, ready to fight him if neccesary. After a brief fight, he backed off.![]() |

Gobi Bears![]() A female Gobi bear warily eyes the scientists who minutes before immobilized her, checked her physical condition, and attached a GPS radio collar and ear tag—all in hopes of improving her chances of survival. ![]() A female called Borte, after Genghis Khan’s queen, investigates an automatic camera. When first captured in 2006, Borte weighed a healthy 165 pounds. Now she has dropped to 125, probably because of the rigors of raising cubs. ![]() A young male charges an automatic camera set to record his departure from a tagging site. ![]() This large male was documented visiting all three oases in the Gobi A preserve, evidence that the bears are still breeding across their range.
