Is there any particular reason you added that part about me? They were talking of your comparisons, not mines. And....the head of the lion and tiger is near equal in size. Are you blind? The tiger is longer, also. |

Yes,the tiger is longer than lion.I don't know if the bengal tiger is longer than a african lion or not.But sure the siberian tiger is.I use to put the tiger at 4 feet.In deviantart, there was a guy having some animals size comparison and he put the lion at 4 feet and the tiger at 3.5 feet. When i said it is wrong, he got angry. He said he had done his research about it.Well, as far as i have seen some videos as well as pictures. They both seem equally tall. |

Lions are actually slightly taller. 102 cm vs 97 cm or so, for Bengal/Siberian tiger males. Average lengths are 9ft and 9ft 3 in. for the African lion and Bengal/Siberian tiger, respectively. There is little difference, really, when you add up all the scientific data, on the sizes of the Bengal and Siberian tiger. In fact, currently, the Bengal tiger has the advantage in average weights. |

Yeah, there is a reason, he posted it right before I did. And the tiger isn't longer, nor is their heads 'near equal' Edited by P Tigris, Apr 19 2012, 05:41 AM.

The top of the lion and tiger`s head is almost at the same point....so is the tip of the mouth. From the beginning of the ear, to the end of the nose is almost equal between the two. |

Fatalis is about the same size of Bengal Tiger. In your comparison looks too big compared with the Tiger. |

I was going by a picture comparison i`ve seen with fatalis and a human. If it isn`t bigger than a tiger....then that comparison is quite inaccurate. But, i`ll change it once i find some reliable estimates on the sizes of these animals. |

Please measure the length of their heads and show me where the lion`s head is almost twice the size.....like you said. Both heads being side by side....they look near equal. Lions do have an advantage in head length....and this pic only shows a VERY slight advantage. And, in your second pic, the rump of the lion and tiger is not on the same line. The tiger is slightly farther back then he should be. But....if he were to straighten his head (which is turned ever so slightly away from us) and tail, he`d be shown to be longer than the lion. |

It's head was roughly 1/3 bigger..never said it was double as big. Even if you turned the tiger's head, he would not be longer..if you want, I could move the images and show you. |
