^ Are these supposed to be average specimens? Because while they look healthy and sleek, I've seen more bulky and powerful looking individuals, especially tigers. |

I`ve seen bigger and more powerful looking specimens, as well. But, i would say these animals i used are closer to the average, then they are away from it. They aren`t too small, and not too big. I also wanted to use specimens that seemed to match closely in size. This is like the best tiger pick i have (full side view, and the animal is sleek and muscular). |

![]() Took longer than I thought. I tried to be as inclusive as possible but there were a few (Ekrixinatosaurus, Tyrannotitan, Cryolophosaurus, Deinocheirus) that I wanted to include but didn't because I couldn't find suitable skeletal drawings. Credit to all the respective artists. Each square is of course 1 meter. Edited by TheROC, May 17 2012, 05:58 AM.

Finally a good comparison of African Dinosaurs(Rugops, Carcharodontosaurus, and Spinosaurus) but I really wanted Deltadromeus/Bahariasaurus in this. |

Deltadromeus is there, right under Allosaurus. edit: I guess one of the staff made it link to the image instead. Is everyone able to zoom in on the picture in the link? trying it in thumbnail size now;

Never mind. But is it true bahariasaurus and Deltadromeus are the same species? |

^There are talks that they are the same yes. That's all I know. Also, I updated it a bit: http://rocatl.deviantart.com/#/d504bnt ![]() I showed it to Scott Hartman as well and he thought it was 'pretty cool!'

Scott Hartman is a paleoartist among other things. A good number of the skeletals in the scale come from him. |

What surprises me is the relatively not so tall shape of these animals. But maybe it's because of their running position. |

unless their legs were completely columnar in position, the height really wouldn't be much different even if they weren't running. Edited by TheROC, May 18 2012, 06:03 AM.

It's reminiscent of many modern depictions. As for example, Rex was typically estimated at 5,5 m tall several years ago. |

Posters say that because his forelimbs don't have any visual volume to them. The other lion's upper arms, for example, are clearly rounded making the appear thick. That tsavo lion's upper arms look relatively flat (2d) by comparison. I say this because I remember seeing a lengthy discussion about that particular Tsavo lion before when you used it in visual comparisons. Edited by Ursus arctos, May 23 2012, 05:05 AM.
