Mandrill pushing a pygmy hippo around in a shared zoo exhibit. Impressive push if I do say so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiZK7m09PwE |

That mandrill won't be laughing when the hippo loses its temper. |

It is amazing in zoo scenarios where you have multispecies exhibits who ends up running the show. My favorite was ASC otters pushing around 100kg babirusa. Priceless. Coatis bossing around spectacled bears is also amusing. Edited by Sicilianu, Jan 16 2013, 05:58 AM.

What a nice specimen of Mandrill; very big, powerful & with an attitude to match. The show of force to move a maybe 300lb animal is quite impressive. |

But would they be full featherd or just parts of them like in that drawing? i would rather think of them as being full featherd. |

![]() I did not use the 4.8-meter shoulder height, because that was for the largest specimen, not the average. The 4.8-meter shoulder height was for the largest specimen, an average Paraceratherium(11 tonnes) would be about ~4.236 meters tall To calculate this, I divided the mass of the average Paraceratherium(11 tonnes) with the maximum Paraceratherium mass(16 tonnes), then took the cube root of the result to find the difference in dimensions... The result is then multiplied with the height of the largest Paraceratherium(4.8 meters), to get the height of the average Paraceratherium. @FelinePowah: They would have a full coat of feathers... |
