Why is it that in most of these hominid comparisons modern man is usually shown with short hair and a clean shaven face? In the natural form we have long hair and beards for men, surely these features must have had some evolutionary significance otherwise they would not have remained. Though we don't really know what sort of head and facial hair the other various extinct species of hominids would've had, the fact we have these unique features among the living great ape species should be highlighted not ignored in these sort of comparisons. |
