Finally, there is good evidence that large tyrannosaurs had feathers! This is outside of the true tyrannosaurs, being more closely related to creatures such as Guanlong, but sheer size alone makes it a good bet that Tyrannosaurus had feathers.

lol . You obviously don't know what strength/power is. Can ANY animal match a Rhinoceros' beetle's feat of lifting 850X it's own weight? I think not.

lol . A Raptor, having more pain tolerance than a Fighting Bull 100 POUNDS bigger than it? And you say you aren't a fanboy...

Hey, how 'bout we compare

Feathers or not, you wouldn't notice it, face to face with a 7 000 kg T.rex.

Feathered Tyrannosaurus ?
I think it is possible. If some carnosaurs like Concavenator are partial feathered. Why coelurosaurus like Tyrannosarids wouldn't have feathers too (at least juveniles)?

brolyeuphyfusion: Can you stop write "Tyrannosaurus fanboys" in almost every topics? This is annoying. You are T.rex hater and do you think being hater is better than being fanboy? In fact being hater is as pathetic as being fanboy.

Wouldn't it be more similar to "bird pain tolerance" since Deinonychosaurians are the sister clade of birds? Also the reason you can easily kill the ant is because you are bigger than it. If you were the size of the ant, you would be ripped to shreds more easily than any vertebrate predator would be able to do.

Though this may be off topic, it doesn't feel right for you to call insects weak. Though we (humans) can kill many insects with just a step, they are surely not weak for mini-beast standards. 1 ant can lift something 10-50 times its own weight! That would be like one average sized human (Maybe about 200 pounds) lifting an orca. Insects are NOT weak!

This is just a made up scenario. So aliens come to Earth and mutate ants to make them human-sized. The ants would kill more people than people kill ants. They are stronger than humans pound for pound. Meaning, if they were all the same size as humans, they would be much stronger. And no, I'm not mad. Problem? lol

The problem is your non-existent understanding of the square-cube law you insect fanboy. the strength of a muscle is based on it's CROSS-SECTIONAL AREA, NOT it's volume, mass goes by the cube while strength goes by the square, get it over your stegosaurid brain next time

and we're going too off-topic here anyway

A rhino beetle would demolish any stegosaur at parity, so would an ant. Every current living carnivore would beat one at parity.
