futuretimeline.net (the most comprehensive futurist site I'm aware of) has predicted the extinction of gorillas, elephants, rhinos, Leatherback turtles, lemurs, koalas, polar bears and emperor penguins for this century. While I usually hope that they are right with their predictions, let's hope that they are wrong on these.
