"...The scaled beasts were captured by British wildlife photographer, Chris Knight, who managed to get the crocodiles cracking a smile for their close-up.

Fearlessly following their every move through the seagrass, Chris captured them hunting for unsuspecting prey near the surface."

Cool comparison ManEater.

Some time ago I had helped Xavier identify all the leopards captured by his camera traps set up in this particular part of Gabon. At the time there were 3 adult males in the area, the one in your picture looks like a new male. We had also tried estimating the size of the big males which is difficult even with all this footage as slight differences in distance and posture seem to make a big difference in how large the animal appears. Regardless, these are obviously some huge leopards.

This is Xavier with the mirror, his own measurements are 170cm tall and 88kg.

Here is M1 an old gaunt looking male.

And here is M3, the very robust looking male who kept attacking and breaking all the mirrors.

Posted Image

Using the mirror as reference we can combine the screen shots to see how these leopards would look next to a human being. M1 in the first pic and M3 in the last 4.
