The agonist vocalizations of sun bears are pretty terrifying. I put it up there with a tiger roar. (I had the same viceral, "run for your life" response to both)

But compared to these three bears, sun bears are nothing but newborn cubs. Behold the polar bear, Ursus maritimus, Arctodus simus, and Ursus maritimus tyrannus. Note that UMT may not exist, but if it did, it would be one impressive creature, and probably the largest terrestrial mammal predator of all time. Here's a size comparison.
