What animals do you think are the best matches for a Giraffe in fights? If so tell.

Here are what I think are the best matches for a Giraffe.

Gaur
Haast's Eagle
South American Giant-Short Faced Bear

That's all the animals I can think of, which is a good match for the Giraffe.

What about you guys?

I think a polar bear or kodiak bear is a better match than your short faced bear and even then, I wouldn't count out a giraffe so quickly. How about a sumatran Rhinoceros?

Yeah but the Giraffe outweighs the Kodiak and Polar Bear. So it would be a mismatch in favor of the Gifaffe then. The South American Giant Short-Faced Bear is more around the Giraffe's weight.

Also a Sumatran Rhino is a another good match as well.

What conditions were those giraffes in? For all we know. They could of been sick and might of not been fully grown.

If the bear's average weight is 1500-1600kg, i think it's a mismatch.

How though? The Giraffe would be close to the same size.

How about Europasaurus? The dinosaur's much heavier build may put it in at least the same mass as a giraffe, if not more

Lions are able to take down Giraffs in packs, so they have the experience.
