You're not gonna find a leopard built like this in Kruger. In terms of overall stockiness this guy IMO appears as stocky as any wild jaguar I've seen photographed. Also, with some skulls exceeding 280mm and such heavily built bodies I think it's perfectly plausible that these leopards may occasionally hit the 100kg mark.

It resembles ( in my opinion), the so-called extinct European Leopard.
Very nice picture!

Thanks, Chui.

Looking forward to see him when he is 5 years and filled out. Already looks very powerful. How large do they think he is?

That Ravenscout male is proportionally very large too, just look at the head! When fully mature, he could be a real giant.

That Persian male is also very impressive. I think a 100KG male is not out the question in Iran, all males there seem large both overall and proportionally and especially with a big tom like that. I wonder how much he is?

Nice new sig too, Kurtz.

That looks like a FULL leopard with short limbs. Still has a different body structure then a Jaguar. It appears to be fat and full of fur. What makes it odd about being a leopard is that it's legs are short.

See the difference

No.
Look the chest of the persian leopard.
As for structure comparative yes no way to compare any jaguar to any leopard.
Leopard have a different ratio head neck.

"Another once in a lifetime sighting this week. We found the Marthly Male mating with the Maxabene Female, north of the Sand River, on Marthly. They were near a termite mound that was housing a warthog family. For some reason, despite knowing the leopards were there, the warthogs came running out, and one was seized by the big male leopard."

Not ambush???! ;)

Look at the size of Tyson Compared to the female and the warthog, which they call a big one.
