In addition to the 6 adult males from Yala I posted on page 20 of this thread here are an additional 4 adult males. It's fairly easy to identify leopards using their markings. All 10 of these males were photographed in the block 1 section of the park which is the only part open to tourists and according to researchers is occupied by 3-5 dominant males at any given time. Considering all these males were photographed in the last 5 years or less the number of males is pretty extraordinary and suggests a high turnover rate. This along with the more battle scarred look of Yala's males may indicate more intense infighting. Every single one of Yala's mature male leopards seems really impressive and badass IMO.

A big gaunt looking male with a heavily scarred face.

Another male photographed on the rocks with a female. He looks absolutely huge in comparison.

This male is known as Ivan ("eye one") a name given to him due his one bad eye.

A different male with one eye completely gone, his worsening condition can be seen in each pic. He most likely died.

We don't really hear much about leopards in Pakistan (it's better known for its snow leopards) but I think the country may be of some interest to us leopard fans. Those in the western part of the country (west of the Indus river) are believed to belong to the Persian subspecies while those on the east being of the Indian subspecies. The following leopards were all from the Abbottabad region which is on the eastern side of the Indus river but with their pale coats they look like Persian leopards. I guess this is an adaptation to the cold mountainous habitat they inhabit which is more like that of Iran. Also, though these leopards probably aren't living in the best of conditions given the general lack of wildlife conservation in Pakistan the male leopards nonetheless appear quite impressive.

A very old male leopard killed after being being suspected of man eating. It apparently weighed 75kg.

Some info on this leopard in this paper http://wildlifeofpakistan.com/ResearchPapers/LodhiAsadsm.pdf and this site http://www.wildlifeofpakistan.com/WildlifeCampaigns/savingthecommonleopardsinpakistan.htm

Another male leopard captured and put in a zoo after being suspected of killing two children. This leopard looks pretty impressive and its ferocity really is unnerving.
