how much do you think this weighs leopards in captivity the video I posted. what is the weight of them? In your opinion?
is difficult to say, in any case, there is a male leopard bigger than the others and that is what rises up and embraces the trainer, maybe 60 kilos, but the problem is that these leopards in captivity lose many of the main features that have in nature and have anyway - any weight a mediocre appearence
They often have a very large belly and a small head with a lower development of the chest and shoulders, compared to the wild ones .
I think you give too much importance to the height at the withers, while the appearance of Leopard compared to a person must be impressive to the tonnage of the body especially the front that should come off with highlights from person close to the animal.

at least tiger figant the leopard in wild builds his body like a body builder, eating a lot filling and filling out his muscles on head shoulders chest etc. for years up 8 years, in captiviy do not happen the same thing, cause the charge of work on his muscles by no means is like in wild

I agree Kurtz, captive leopards are usually pretty unimpressive especially those in western zoos. They usually lack the muscular build of wild mature males with the big head and muscular neck and shoulders. But as with most things there are exceptions like the male below from South Africa. This leopard was found as an orphaned cub in the wild after his mother had been killed. It was thus raised in captivity but a very impressive specimen nonetheless.

Yeah, I think you're talking about Kuma, the West African leopard whose pictures ManEater posted a while ago. This leopard too was rescued as an orphaned cub but he's from Ivory Coast in West Africa! Probably being from the coastal rainforest of that country he has a darker coat and a more jaguar like head.

visited a zoo and had a small jaguar head and did not have strong muscles. visited a zoo and had a small jaguar head and did not have strong muscles.

Kurtz This leopard in captivity should do exercises for strong muscles. I wonder is that the muscles can grow alone, because only genetic?! It's just a crazy chance I'm thinking..

But I agree with you that in captivity it will never be built in the same muscles as in nature.

it depends down genetics and how zoo keepers care of growth and fit healthy of the leopards

Chui: is your leopard comes from Moholoholo refuge in South Africa ?

Previously, i posted some shots of an impressive male from this place, it seems they have got the same spots.

Kurtz believe that Leopard's bondage video I posted has a 80 KG. Last year saw a young man passing in the street with a big dog and I asked what that weight that dog and he replied:
  80 kg
This leopard in captivity is similar size that dog. (that video I posted)

So from the dog I saw this leopard that video posted above that you should now have a 90 KG.

I wish there was some research showing the average weight only and exclusively territorial leopards. Do not include oils of three years.
