Strange pic, or better the head is stunning but the rest of the body seems quite tiny compared to the man and the head of the leopard |

nice Kurtz, he looks more of an athletic leopard..not very bulky. One to mention is The West Street Male leopard. They say he is bigger than Maxebeni male leopard, the 3:2 brother, son of camppan, but 3:2 being bulkier.. I have no time to post any photo's nice looking male...only 4 or 5 years of age. |

Next to be trapped was the large male M18. From the camera trap photographs he looked big and had a similar coat pattern to leopards we had identified in the Northern Cape. Nothing prepared us for the reality however - weighing in at 57.5kg he was a real brute - at least 20kg heavier than the current average for males in the Cape mountains, and 10 kg heavier than the largest cat accurately recorded in the area. He too was successfully collared to be monitored. http://capeleopard.org.za/news-and-media/news/story/521/capture-for-conservation-leopard-trapping-in-the-cederberg-and-malawi Very great find Rojjones Notice the immense shoulders and the nice size head, impressive chest Edited by Kurtz, May 8 2014, 06:24 AM.

Another big male from Namibia 69 kilograms male with the neck large as the head![]() ![]() "Then they fitted a collar. Because the neck of leopards is roughly the same size as the head this is a tricky business. The collar has to be tight enough not to come off, but loose enough not to strangle the animal. The animal also has to be mature because the neck grows as the animal does" http://motoadventuregal.com/2013/08/collaring-a-leopard/ |

totally agree with you marc. i put the sequel of rojjones and i gave the exact weight of that male for this purpose. Seems that some people don't inderstand that this topic is only for that kind of males like the last i posted from namibia and bigger like tingana or again bigger like these from gabon. i agrre with you marc for another reason put leopards of any size make this topic quite caotic and the guidlines are elite leopards. plus there is p.p. pictorial to put any leopard we want. i think even chui and m.e. would agree with us
