The first movie was revolutionary, because it brought the dinos to life in a realistic way. Sure, there are lots of mistakes, some of which are deliberate, but at least the dinos looked very convincing, as if they were alive. In the second movie there was no sense of awe any more, and the dinos probably had too much screen time, which made it easier to notice any lack of realism. The computer models were well made, but they were overused, which diminishes the impact, IMHO. The third movie made the dinos look like plastic, which is something that computer generated beings look in many movies - just not in the first Jurassic Park! (I believe we see the full size models more than we see computer models in JP) And the smashing through a huge metal fence was just ridiculous. They also threw any pretence of realism from the first movie out of the window - in the second they made the big dinos gargantuan sized, like in the old B-movies. The "Mamenchisaurus" and the Stegosaurus was at least as tall as the Brachiosaurus. I think the series has run its course, but it will still be interesting to see what they can come up with. I haven't seen the Rise of the Planet of the Apes movie, but I've heard that the script was all right. From JPII Obviously they tried to impress with that scene, but it just doesn't look real. Though its not really what everybody thinks its going to be about, its assumed that the movie will focus on a massive scale evolutionary takeover by apes but really it chronicle the life of a super-intelligent chimpanzee, Caesar. It does eventually lead to apes battling humans but you'll probably root for the apes when you find out what's really going on. It uses clever little "tidbits" that set up the premises for the other planet of the apes movie. Edited by Wild, Jul 7 2012, 11:00 PM.

Posts: 2,103 Group: Members Member #35 Joined: Jan 9, 2012	There will be surely new dinosaurs. But Rex cannot be missed. Horner suggested there could have numerous baby dinosaurs featured, as juveniles of some species were rather different looking than adults.

Yea but then the chars would have to be in ships the whole movie thus not making it as exciting as running from a t rex seeing spino kill t rex facing raptors etc

Then maybe you could throw in a Spinosaurus going for a swim and then being attacked by a Mosasaurus or something.

Yea but if the aquarium brakes all the animals etc would die but leviathan predator x etc would be cool
