Thats not completly true sprinters have more fast twitch muscle fibers, and marathon runners have more slow twitch fibers |

They all have the same muscle fibers. They just focus on certain ones. It's like cardio muscles vs weight lifting muscles in the human body. Humans generally have 50% type A muscle fiber and 50% type B. However some can have more based on genetics etc. But in general humans have the same amount of each. Thats why I said not completly because yes we do all have the same potential muscles but how we use them is going to affect how they develop with training a sprinter can turn his fast twitch fibers into slow twitch and vice versa all I was trying to say was that tho the comparison of canids to marathon runners and cats to sprinters isnt perfect it is a fairly acurate comparison in the simplest of forms |

No it's not, as in reality they do the same load of work. Canids can just do it longer.... so by kuris logic canids are basically stronger due to them being able to work far longer. But its obvious he made that comp to try and prove the opposite. Edited by Black Ice, Mar 29 2013, 02:52 AM.

No because power is work over time, so if the cat does 100 units of work over 10 seconds or a dog does 1000 units of work over 100 seconds you still get 10 units of power either way its basic physics |

Under 15 kg dogs generally stronger, between 15 and 25 kg its even with slight edge to cats and from 25 kg felines are stronger. |

^ Jesus christ, even dogs under 15kg can't be accepted now? Canids must be some weak ass predators. |

If it ain't in the felids favor. He won't accept it. But I agree members think canines are some weak ass predators. If it aint boldchamp saying a wolverine will kill a wolf then its poison saying a bird can take out a timber wolf. |

Might as well add that the canids are marathon runners that posses speed on par with the felid sprinters. best of both worlds. |

At parity, felines always win. Canids just aren't meant to be lone killers like felines, and pantheras. |

Under what circumstance exactly? Some canids are stronger than felids, some felids stronger than canids. You can't place a whole group of animals under the same position. |
