The emperor scorpion feeds on insects, arachnids, mice and small lizards, hunting them at night using its sensory hairs (trichobothria) (4). It has poor eyesight and is preyed upon by bats, birds, small mammals, large spiders (I doubt they are much bigger than the scorp) centipedes, large lizards and other scorpions (4) (7). As with other scorpions that possess large, strong pincers, the emperor scorpion uses the pincers to kill and manipulate prey, reserving the sting for larger prey or for use in self-defence (5) (8).
Interesting

Missed that part.
the best fighters? They get eaten by centipedes, seems they arent that tough.also spiders eat them, shows scorpions aren't as bad as most think
Ambush & it's not difficult to see a much larger centipede kill an emperor, LOL BTW you interpreting the evidence with the Spider, rolleyes

At size parity including venom;

1.) Scorpion
2.) Centipede
3.) Tarantula
4.) Mantis

Without use of venom;

1.) Centipede
2.) Mantis
3.) Tatantula
4.) Scorpion
Every dang time man you ALWAYS UNDERRATE THE MANTIS! In a cruelty fight a mantis took a similar sized centipede with no problems! I say even with venom the mantis makes the top of the list for each one, thier forearms are strong enough to hold a similar sized centipede in their grip, not allowing the pede to bite back.

how is a pede gonna ambush a scorp when scorps are able to sense minute vibrations?
And they are roughly the same size as vod stated
"the pede is longer, but the scorpion more robust" so define what you mean by "larger"?. I think you mean longer, as the emperor scorp can get pretty big,
I mean do you really think this

Is any smaller than this

Proof? It must have taken a unimpressive species of centipede.

Because Centipedes are fast & here is this.

Here's my stance, they can kill each other, but a Scorpion of similar size will usually kill a Centipede of similar size & only the biggest Centipedes can kill an Emperor, IMO.

Well I think the exact opposite of what you do, but I doubt we will change views, so lets agree to disagree

They can get freakishly huge also, nvm thats a preg scorp^

They can get bigger than your hand!
But imo a scorp doesn't have the armor piercing weaponry needed to kill a centipede, you saw yourself in the vid it couldn't crush the pedes head nor could its stinger get through the armor.

I'll PM it to you and the species actually looks like a Vietnamese centipede which are known to kill mice and small reptiles or amphibians

A freakish mantis vs a small centipede? Still impressive but what species is it, or what part of the world? Though thats a huge mantis

Wild dog this impressive enough for you?
Posted Image
that's pretty impressive but it's a lizard i presume a snake would be more impressive considering they could use their longer bodies to thrash more violently or coil aorund the centipede, also outstretched the lizards tail would be what made it longer, not the actual body. the lizard certainly is not a few times the pede's size either like some snakes mantis' take.

the centipede was fairly robust in comparison to the mantis and it was longer than the mantis. It looked like a giant asian mantis

You go by weight, not visual size, pedes weigh grams, im sure a lizard would weigh alot more, also thats a lizard??

No some pedes are more impressive then others for instance

Thats a vietnamese pede, not impressive

Peruvian centipede, see the difference?
Their weights and lengths overlap, though at max peruvian pede>vietnamese, but just look at the robusticity difference
