ok, as I siad before the averge red scorpion is a 4-5 inches the averge emperor scorpion is nearly 8 inches, in my pic it was an Asian forest scorpion vs a vietnamese pede, both are smaller thna their largest counterparts so it was a fairer fight, i get it u cna only ride so much on a pic but................. still I don't see why he'd favor the pede he didn't give an explanation so |

A pede killing this![]() Pretty much voids that other pic you showed though in terms of ability to kill each other. |

it voids nothing, as fearsome as it looks it's really just a close up image, compare that to an adult emperor scorpion and you'll see what the pede killed was no more than a miniaturized version of the real monster that is pandinus Imperator |

And that wasn't even a peruvian yellow leg centipede. It was a desert pede. So yes it does prove something. |

![]() Looks like a sub species of desert pede. Nothing solid though. Also remember at larger weights at parity, centipedes become dimentionally MUCH larger than scorpions. Edited by Black Ice, Nov 1 2012, 11:55 AM.

there's no way that's a desert centipede, desert centipede's either have black heads like the heros species, or it had to be a common desert pede polymorpha and those are tiny |

It's the malaysian cherry red centipede which is a desert pede subspecies. I looked it up.![]() They come in different tints. See for yourself. Edited by Black Ice, Nov 1 2012, 12:05 PM.

Malaysian cherry red centipedes are most certainly not desert pedes. There are not even any deserts in Malaysia or South east Asia! The cherry red is a subspecies of Vietnamese centipede (Scolopendra subspinipes dehaani) |

no wikipedia didn't if u go to the Vietnamese centipede search page they classify the cherry red as a subspecies of the Vietnamese. Also it doesn't take hardcore science to realize cherry red's aren't desert centipede's, I mean it's geographically impossible there no deserts in Malaysia |

you're kidding me???????? Vietnamese centipede's belong to the species, Scolopendra subspinipes, desert centipedes belong to the species Scolopendra heros (or poloymorpha depending on your meaning of a true desert centipede) How did you not figure that out? it would make no sense if they were the same thing |
