Maybe its a weight mismatch:

Its mass was estimated at 1,350 kg,[F] 1,500 kg[G] and 2,102 kg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnotaurus

that could grow up to an estimated 8 m (26.2 ft) in length and weighed 2.5 tonnes (5,500 lb).

8 m for Lythronax has to be verified, because measuring the skeleton yields a lower length (according to 7Alx, it would yield around of 7 m, such a Lythronax would weigh about as much as Carnotaurus). Press articles (which were cited) tend to make up numbers or information in general.

Following the link provided on Wikipedia, those Wiki writers must have added 0.7 meters to the following:

"At 24 feet (7.3 meters) long and weighing about 2.5 tons, the 80-million-year-old Lythronax (pronounced LYE-thro-nax) lacked the even-more-massive size of T. rex, says the University of Utah's Mark Loewen, who headed the team reporting the dinosaur's discovery in PLOS One."
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2013/11/131106-king-gore-tyrannosaurus-dinosaur

Unless of course National Geographic fabricated, made up or simply blatantly lied and Mark Loewen never said the above.

I'd say 7,3 m comes closer to the actual length than what wiki said (and I'm fine with it), I'm not sure about the weight though.
I don't know where Loewen said this (I cannot find it in the description), maybe he said that in personal communication.
