Still asking for Genyodectes serus vs. Eustreptospondylus oxoniensis. It is NOT a weight mismatch. Based on Ceratosaurus, the sister taxon of Genyodectes, its length would be around 6 meters and its weight 500 kilograms. Eustreptospondylus would have been of similar size, at 5-6 meters and 500 kilograms. Edited by Carnoferox, Sep 20 2016, 12:06 PM.

Megaraptor namunhuaiquii vs. Ekrixinatosaurus novasi ADMIN - Both these species seem to lack decent weight estimates. If you can provide weight estimates for them (ie a link) and they seem evenly matched, I'll make the thread! Megaraptor: Gregory S. Paul estimated its length at eight metres, its weight at one tonne ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megaraptor ) Ekrixinatosaurus don't have mass estimates, but Sampson and Witmer estimated an average weight for an adult Majungasaurus of 1,100 kilograms ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Majungasaurus ) So what about Megaraptor vs. Majungasaurus? 1. troodon v s velociraptor mongoliensis ADMIN - even a velociraptor at 25 Kg, is likely to be half the weight of a Troodon. Is Troodon really that 'weak'"? Edited by Taipan, Nov 16 2016, 08:44 PM.

Majungasaurus crenatissimus vs. Teratophoneus curriei The latter was estimated by Carr et al. to have a little over 650 kg in weigth. Majungasaurus was estimated by Sampson et al. to have a mass of 1,100 kilograms, but that was based on now out dated length estimates(6-7 meters).Based on the most recent length estimate(5,6 meters-estimated by Grillo et al.),Majungasaurus would likely have a mass of less than 800kg: 5,6/6,5=0,8615384615384613³=0,639475648611742 x 1100= ~700 kg Considering that the Teratophoneus specimen wasn't fully grown, they probably had somewhat similar masses. 1. Rajasaurus narmadensis vs Utahraptor ostrommaysorum Utahraptor is etimated to have a body length of 6-7 meters.Rajasaurus was estimated to be 9 meters long, but most recent estimates put it at the 6,5 meters(Grillo and Delcourt). ADMIN - This 2016 study HERE, has a weight estimate for Rajasaurus of 1,916 kg, which I think makes it too large for Utahraptor ostrommaysorum. So,what about Majungasaurus crenatissimus vs Utahraptor ostrommaysorum? ADMIN - We already had a Majungasaurus v 2 Utahraptors thread that appeared to indicate all thought the Utahraptors would win, so I modified to 1 on 1. 1. Nanotyrannus is most like a juvenile T-Rex: http://carnivoraforum.com/single/?p=8775151&t=9330658
The length of the type specimen of Suchomimus, a subadult, was initially estimated at 10.3–11 m (34–36 ft). Its weight was estimated at between 2.7 and 5.2 tonnes (2.7 and 5.1 long tons; 3.0 and 5.7 short tons).[2][3][1] In 2010, Gregory S. Paul gave lower estimations of 9.5 metres and 2.5 tonnes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suchomimus The largest known specimen (NCSM 14345) is estimated to have measured 11.5 m (38 ft)[2] from snout to tail tip and weighed 5.7 t (6.3 short tons)[2][3] to 6.2 t (6.8 short tons),[2] with an upper maximum weight of 7.25 t (7.99 short tons) within the realm of possibility for this specimen. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acrocanthosaurus ^ Looks like a weight mismatch. However some give Acrocoanthosaurus a chance in this match up : Acrocanthosaurus atokensis v Spinosaurus aegyptiacus |
