The scottish wildcat is native to the scottish highlands and is a large species of wild cat. As with many species of felidae its senses are highly sophisticated and thought that this cat may even see in colour. The Scottish wildcat hunts prey of small to medium size , such as rabbits rodents small mammals and birds. They are pure carnivores and eat only meat. They hunt using stealth then a burst of speed when within range of the target and then they dislodge it with a quick powerful bite to the neck crushing the spinal cord.
