It is heart breaking video but see first and last few minutes.Asian Elephant is not only balancing but also doing acrobats easily with front legs & hind legs (individually). It is actually shock for me. It proves both front and hind legs of Asian are very strong. Now same case as lion vs tiger, 3ft vs 4ft.We know who has stronger legs. African wrt Asian Height = Disadvantage Legs/base =Weak Weight = Positive Conclusion: Yes Asian is Stronger than African. |

I don't even know what you're trying to say. There is no reason to assume Asian elephants are stronger than African elephants, the reverse will be true since Loxodonta africana is the larger animal. |

Is it recent study proved Asian elephants are genetically related to extinct woolly mammoth. 2.Asians are round shaped and so weight equally distributed.African dip in the middle, weight is not distributed equally. Largest animal is Whale.j/k largest or longest animals are not always the strongest. EX take each 700 kg 'Camel Vs Buffalo'.Who is strongest obviously buffalo |

So?
So?
The better analogy would be "1000kg bison vs 700kg buffalo". |

What so so .. equally distributed weight gives stability, stable animals are stronger. Show me one proof Africans can stand easily only on front/hind legs,Never it will fall.If 6 tn falls instant death.Case closed Asian won. |

That doesn't make any sense. Being more stable means that an animal is more stable, no more, no less. By that logic every quadruped animal would be stronger than equally sized bipeds which is obviously wrong.
How does that even matter? Agility has nothing to do with strength.

@Tigerr,![]() "It seems this elephant may be confused about his species as he was caught standing on his hind legs and feeding himself from the top branches of a tree – just like a giraffe. The big animal performed the incredible act using his trunk to grab the juicy leaves in a picturesque forest in Zimbabwe. This unusual behaviour has rarely been photographed but one lucky early-bird photographer caught three elephant as the sun rose over the UNESCO World Heritage site of Mana Pools. his behaviour, normally attributed to giraffes, has made the Mana Pools elephants famous but it has rarely been seen on camera. The group of elephants was composed of two young bulls called 'askari', which protect the older bull who teaches them the skills they need to reach the leaves in top of the trees. South African photographer, Morkel Erasmus, 29, shot this unique action while following three elephant bulls on foot that he had seen the previous day. Morkel said: ‘The trees in the alluvial forests are massive and even an elephant has a tough task to try and reach some of the juicy leaves.' ‘It was clear to us that the younger bulls could not yet master the skill of balancing on their hind legs, and that they were still 'learning the ropes' from the old master, who himself proved quite skilled in this area. ‘They protect him while he reaches the leaves. They are his eyes and ears as he grows old. ‘I couldn't believe our fortune in witnessing this spectacle in this kind of light in such an open patch of forest. ![]() Instructor: The older bull was teaching the two youngest who did not seem to be as skilled in the area of 'hind-leg feeding Mr Erasmu Mr Erasmus spent two hour photographing the elephants and said the adrenaline filled morning was one of the highlights of his photographic career. He said: ‘It is a pristine piece of Africa, one of the last really 'wild' places free from commercialisation and mankind's excessive greed. ‘All that may change though as there is a current threat of heavy minerals mining in the area which will probably destroy the ecosystem.’ The site is located in the Lower Zambezi Valley, on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, downstream from Victoria Falls and Lake Kariba. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2203248/Elephant-stands-legs-eat-tree-leaves.html Edited by Ceratodromeus, Oct 12 2015, 01:35 AM.

^^ So as Deers, lions, buffaloes and so on balance few seconds then fall, that's it. Africans can't do fighting/feats like Asians are doing easily on each front/hind legs.Just one push african will fall, case close. dog edited Edited by tigerr, Oct 12 2015, 01:48 AM.

Dogs can even walk on their forelimbs for minutes and hours. Dogs are stronger than elephants. Case closed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsq_vNIFCvE |

Nah, that's not how debates work m8. You asked this
And I amply demonstrated they did. Your baseless assumption of the elephant will fall over if you push it(wut?) Is nothing more then you trying to form an argument with nothing more then your opinion again. |

Read it again from starting I clerly said asians can do stand/do feats easily on front/hind legs, show me one proof Africans are also doing it easily. Every four legged animal can stand few seconds,it is not rocket science.

But you realize standing on two legs for a quadruped animal is simply an act of balance, don't you? It has almost nothing to do with strength. It also doesn't matter if you think the elephant does it "easily" or not. You requested proof of an African elephant standing on two legs, Ceratodromeus provided it. |

It's obviously worth noting that this Asian elephant reared onto its hind legs for no more then 5 seconds. In the beginning of your video. "Feats"? As in balancing on its hind legs for like 5 seconds? Did you just not say all quadrupedal animals can do this? Can you provide evidence that an Asian elephant wouldn't fall if you pushed it over like you were suggesting the African would?
Apparently for you it is. Edited by Ceratodromeus, Oct 12 2015, 02:15 AM.

People are here Made up their mind and only accept their version of truth.African has 1.5 tn weight advantage but asian bull is stronger because of stocky legs. Here some animals who are known as aggressive&stronger but less weight compared to Afrian elephant. Hippo 1500 kg, 1 ft legs: Rhino 2000kg,1 ft legs ![]() ![]() African can defeat hippo/rhino because it's weight advantage of 4 times just imagine a 5000 kg Hippo or Rhino Vs 6000 kg African Elephant. ========= Wolly mammoth comparison because I think Asians loss of habituate/genetic division make them dwarf animals. It has a potential to reach huge size.
