Has anyone got any accounts/videos/photos of giant otters interacting with other large animals in the area (anacondas, caiman, arapaima, etc.) there are a few on the forum already: Giant otter killing arapaima ![]() Giant otter killing small caiman ![]() I found some on the internet as well: Giant otter eating medium-sized catfish ![]() Giant otter and anaconda facing each other ![]() if you guys have any accounts/videos/photos please post them. |

its one of my most favourite animals. and this thread makes me more excited since i havent seen any interactions between Giant otter and its coexisting predators. its wonderful to see it in action. i have to visit amazon atleast once in my life! |

From the research some of the photographs featuring predation on the young caiman originate(Link)![]() Footage i've seen seems to indicate they will mob even the small species of caiman in non predatory scenarios as well. There is one video of otters killing a large(r) black caiman that was likely a subadult individual, but this was not predatory and was moreso a defensive action iirc.
