Male Lions are the most impressive Big Cat imo.....That looked like a damn big Male Lion to! Maybe 450lbs+ At least thanks to him we are able to watch such great video.

She lost her tail in a few seconds, the moment she grabs a hyena the rest go for her hind quarters. Just for the fanboys saying lion can beat 5 hyenas. Be realist. The battle starts at around 2:10, multiple hyenas attacking a single lioness and probably maul her to death. In the comments, however, it is stated that she was able to survive - hard to believe IMO.

Her pride has grown as her sister recently gave birth to a littler of cubs. The adolescent cubs were accepted into the pride, and she has gone from strength to strength. Came across this group of hyena fighting a lioness in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, August 2013. We first thought they would kill the lioness, but another lioness came in and the hyenas then decided to go for the lion's buffalo kill instead. Luckily both lions survived the ordeal.
