The Sumatran Tiger is not well known to the common Lehman. This cat is by and far pound for pound the most powerful cat. It has the power of the big cats (bengal/siberian tiger) yet the agility of the small cats (cougar, leopard). This is the only cat who could routinely defeat another predator 200 plus pounds bigger then itself.

sexual dimorphism between male and female.

Sumatran Tigers are solid climbers

I would agree that it is lb for lb the strongest tiger subspecies, but I would imagine the jaguar is still the winner lb for lb overall.

All this shows us is that jungle big cats tend to be stockier and more heavily muscled. Leopards follow this same trend.

I am not sure we can called a champion for the Lbs for Lbs stronger category, and i will certainly not said the jaguar.
Btw, this topic is ridiculous.

Have you ever seen a bengal tiger next to a Sumatran? The difference is staggering. Watch "the temple of tigers". They had to keep the Bengal tiger in it's own cage, because it was bullying the smaller Sumatran tigers. Not to mention, Bengals are also more aggressive.

An adult Sumatran Tiger would see no problems taking on a Bengal Tiger, not saying it would win, but it would give a good account of itself.

Either way, guess where those tigers are from??? SUMATRA!!! They didn't really form a truce, LOL. The Bengal was being hyper aggressive , and they didn't want it to hurt the other tigers.

Regardless, how do you claim that a Sumatran tiger is the strongest p4p? That's a random claim. If you wanna say, because they can climb trees, yeah, because they're the smallest of the bunch.

I personally think the Bengal tiger takes this title though to say this cat can take a predator with a 200lb or more weight advantage "routinely" is beyond retardation. Like seriously imperial dino when the hell have you EVER heard of a predator killing another predator with 200 plus pounds of weight in a brawl on a daily basis? Does the bell ever ring in your head?
