I did not expect this monkey to push the hippo that hard that the hippo jerked. The monkey is Huge! |

I don't think the push was that hard, the hippo just seemed surprised that's why it started going spastic. That mandrill is GIGANTIC though

It was hard. You could see the force of the push jiggle the hippos skin where it mad contact. The hippo flinched again afterwards. Edited by Black Ice, May 1 2013, 08:31 AM.

You sure the jiggle wasn't just produced form the hippo jumping back so quickly? The mandrill may have been too fast for me but my eye didn't catch the direct contact between the mandrill's hand and the hippo it looked like he was trying to get at the hippo but it kept backing away so he;'d only end up grazing it. |

Wild, if you look closer you can clearly see the hippo jumped AFTER it was pushed. EDIT: You could even HEAR the push. Edited by Black Ice, May 1 2013, 08:36 AM.

That mandrill didn't seem to care about it getting serious. I remember seeing a video where a mandrill was looking right in the face of a snapping pygmy hippo and the monkey didn't seem to care the hippo was irritated. |

I think if it turned serious youd have a dead mandrill just based on the hippos bite but the hippo wouldnt be walking away with out some serious injuries least thats my opinion Eaither way thats an impressive mandrill I wouldnt want to mess with it |

If you say the mandrill would be dead by the hippos bite, that means the mandrill wouldn't have time to inflict damage munfy. |

^ It could also mean the mandrill might be able to dance aorund the hippo and inflict some damage before getting caught |

Thats exactly what I meant I would assume the mandrill would be agile enough to avoid the hippo for atleast awhile but one mistake would be all the hippo would need to deliver a devistating bite |

If it did that its superior agility stamina wouldn't allow it to get caught. Anyways mandrill attack head on so it won't be dancing around the hippo regardless. Edited by Black Ice, May 1 2013, 09:49 AM.

Just because the mandrill has stamina and agility doesnt mean it cant make a mistake and misstime an attack or hesitate befor a retreat, ill assume your right that mandrills attack the face which will just make it more likely that the hippo will get a chance to land a bite |
